Professional Background
Philip had a distinguished academic career and graduated from the University of Pretoria in 1989 with a MS Chemistry degree specialising in the development of software models for kinetics of chemical reactions.
He started his career as a scientist with MINTEK, a leading South African Scientific Laboratory, and progressed to Senior Scientist but but soon realised that his passion for Software Engineering exceeded his love for the natural sciences.
He joined BSW-Data, a specialist Telecommunications Software Developer in January 1992 and excelled as Systems Engineer in the Information Technology field since. Philip he has gained valuable specialist experience over a period of 18 years by working with key local and international companies.
During 2002 Philip was the Co-Founder of GlobeTOM and acts as Managing Director and Chief Technology Officer since. Philip's main responsibilities include technology innovation and all technical visionary functions. With the support of a strong technical team he focuses on developing market-leading solutions setting new benchmarks in the telecommunication industry.
Philip has a passion for building scalable, carrier-grade products and solutions and strongly believes that South Africa has a future as a leading product developer for emerging markets. Philip believes that Grid Computing and Service Oriented Architectures delivers all the elements needed for a modern era ICT environments in which customers operate with a business-service centric ICT environment and hence creates a focus on these paradigms in the Software Engineering approaches used by GlobeTOM.

Marne Meades
Software Engineering Director

Professional Background Marne matriculated in 1992 and went on to complete a B.Sc. (Hons) Computer Science from the University of Pretoria. She joined ATIO Corporation in 1996 where she started a career as software engineer. Sensitive and possessing quick reaction time, Marne Meades has creative ability. As a seemingly inexhaustible investigator of facts, Marne will pursue all possible avenues of a solution to a problem. With 13 years of experience in the design and development of Object Oriented, mission-critical solutions and products, Marne takes responsibility for the production of many of the key projects of GlobeTOM and has a special architecture focus in the Enterprise Application Integration arena.

Beverley Britz
Strategic Account Director

 Professional Background Beverley has years of experience in the Telecommunications and Banking Industry Sector where she gained invaluable experience in various roles. At MTN in the roles of Systems Engineer and later Business Analyst and Project Manager Beverley excelled and built a solid reputation for delivering key projects on time and in budget. Beverley joined GlobeTOM in March 2008 with a key focus on GlobeTOM strategic accounts. Beverley is also a shareholder in GlobeTOM in keeping with GlobeTOM's philosophy of retaining a strong owner managed business culture through our formative years.
